“Truly, I say to you, you will never get out till you have paid the very last penny.”— Matthew 5:26
“Show me the word Purgatory in the Bible! You can't, because it's a medieval human invention designed to make money!”
For many Catholics, this challenge causes immediate panic. You know what the Church teaches, but when confronted with scripture-quoting opponents, it is easy to get tongue-tied.
The truth is, the scriptural proofs for Purgatory are abundant, clear, and undeniable—if you know where to look. Stop straddling the fence. Equip yourself with the truth today.
What You Will Discover Inside:
- ✦The “Word” Objection Dismantled: Learn why rejecting Purgatory because the word isn't in the Bible is a logical trap. Discover how to use the Protestant acceptance of the Trinity and the Incarnation (which also aren't in the text) to win the opening argument.
- ✦Guilt vs. Punishment: Master the vital biblical distinction between reatus culpae (eternal guilt forgiven by Christ) and reatus poenae (temporal consequences requiring fatherly discipline), using the lives of King David and Moses as proof.
- ✦The Sayings of Jesus: Deep-dive into the prison parables of Matthew 5 and Luke 12, the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit in Matthew 12 (proving forgiveness in the “age to come”), and the unforgiving servant of Matthew 18.
- ✦Saved Through Fire: A comprehensive, verse-by-verse exegesis of 1 Corinthians 3:11-15, demonstrating how the builder himself is saved through fire—a purifying fire of the afterlife.
- ✦The Septuagint & The Lost Books: Uncover the historical truth of 2 Maccabees 12, how Martin Luther unilaterally removed books from the Old Testament, and the 2,000-year-old Jewish tradition of praying for the dead.
- ✦The Witness of the Catacombs & Fathers: Read direct, verbatim quotes from the earliest Christians (Tertullian, Augustine, Cyprian, Chrysostom) proving they prayed for the deceased centuries before the rise of the medieval papacy.
- ✦The Apologist's Cheat Sheet: Get access to step-by-step dialogue scripts and quick-reference tables to dismantle every common objection (e.g., “The thief on the cross went straight to heaven” or “Purgatory denies the finished work of Christ”).
Why This Book is Different:
Every theological chapter is structured into six distinct, highly practical sections:
- ✦ The Scripture Passage: The raw biblical text (RSV-CE).
- ✦ The Protestant Objection: The exact arguments opponents use.
- ✦ The Defense Strategy: Step-by-step logical and historical refutations.
- ✦ The Sayings of Jesus & Deep Exegesis: Connecting the text directly to Christ's words.
- ✦ The Witness of the Early Church: Direct patristic quotes showing historical continuity.
- ✦ The Apologist’s Action Step: Scripted dialogues for you to copy and use.
